Anastasia Hatziri

Bio

Born in Athens, in 1970. She graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts in Painting and Printmaking. In 1995 she followed courses in the "Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten" in Gend, Belgium, with a scholarship granted by the Greek State. Some of her creations are part of private collections as well as of the collection of the Ministry of Culture. She participated in the videotape "About Printmaking", sponsored by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the "House of Arts and Letters". There is a series of her artworks in the film "6*6" of G. Petropoulos, (Thessaloniki Film Festival, 1997). In 1997 she won an award in the Printmaking Competition launched by the "House of Arts and Letters", with artworks inspired by the poetry of Odysseus Elytes. In 1998 she won an Award in a competition, which took place in the "Creta Maris" Hotel in Creta; her award winning artwork belongs to the collection of N. Metaxas. Furthermore, her artworks can be found in the Leontiadis collection, as well as in the Union of Forest Friends in Athens. She has also done the stage Design for theatrical performances. She is a member of the Greek Chamber of Fine Arts as well as of the Greek Engravers Association. She has taken part in 30 group exhibitions. 6 C.
