Ines Piqueras
Bio
Born in Valencia, Spain in 1977. She studied Fine Arts from 1995 until 2000 in the School of Fine Arts of Valencia. During her last academic year, she followed courses in the Athens School of Fine Arts as a participant in the Erasmus exchange programme. In the years 2000 and 2002 she followed postgraduate seminars on Printmaking in the School of Fine Arts of Valencia. In 2001 she earned a scholarship by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs for carrying out artistic projects in the Athens School of Fine Arts until 2003. She also earned a scholarship by the Greek National Scholarships Foundation (IKY) for the years 2003-2005, and she now follows courses in the Printmaking and Graphic Arts Workshop of the Athens School of Fine Arts, specializing in Printmaking and in Book Art. She has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Athens, Valencia, Madrid and Cadaques, as well as in England, France and Belgium. She has presented her work in four solo exhibitions in Valencia. Prizes: First Prize in Printmaking, Colegio Mayor Galileo Galilei, Valencia, 1999. First Prize in Photography - 'Arboles y Arboledas' (Trees and Forests), Group of Environmental Activities, Requena, Valencia. Her work can be found in the Department of Prints of the National Library in Madrid, in the Town Hall of Requena, in the Town Hall of Burjassot, in the San Carlos School of Fine Arts in Valencia and in the Printmaking Workshop of the Athens School of Fine Arts. Her work can also be found in private collections in Spain and other countries.
