Marianna Xenaki

Biographical Note

Born in 1938 in Athens. She studied at the Athens School of Fine Arts, with degrees in engraving and Theoretical Studies, under Giannis Moralis and Kostas Grammatopoulos. At the same time she studied stage design under the painter Spyros Vasiliou. She then studied etching and lithography at the Ecole Superieure des Beaux Arts in Paris, in the studios of J. Cami and G. Dayez, and Graphic arts at the Ecole Estienne. She has presented her work in numerous exhibitions in Greece and other countries and also teaches at technical high schools. Works of hers are to be found in the National Gallery in Athens, the Vorres Museum, the Greek Ministries of Education and Culture and other institutions, as well as in private collections in Greece and abroad.
