ENGRAVING Vicky Tsalamatas Bio Born in Athens. Studied Graphic Design in Athens (1966-69), Painting and Printmaking at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna, Italy (1969-73), History of Art at the Universita Italiana per Stranieri, Perugia (1973-74). Postgraduate Studies: Master of Arts in Printmaking at the Slade School of Fine Art, University College London (1982-83). The Art of Hand Made Paper, London College of Printing (1982-1983). She is Associate Professor in the Athens School of Fine Arts. Prizes: 1st Prize in Printmaking, Serra San Quirico, Italy (1980). 1st Prize in Printmaking by the House of Letters and Arts in Athens (1985). Prize of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Belgrade University, International Print Biennial, Belgrade (1998). "Artitudes" Prize, New York, USA (1989). She has been given 7 Honorary Mentions in International Biennials of Graphic Arts and a Honorary Mention in the 18th Biennale of Alexandria, Egypt - National Participation of Greece through the Greek Ministry of Culture. She has participated in 77 International Biennials and Triennials in Europe, Asia, USA and Africa, and in more than 100 group shows in Greece. She has participated and Galleries in 13 International Symposiums and Workshops in Europe.
