PAINTING Christos Markidis Biographical Note CHRISTOS MARKIDIS was born in Drama in 1954. He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts from 1974 to 1979. He has presented his work in twelve solo exhibitions (Nees Morfes Gallery, Athens 1984, 1987, 1990; Zalokosta 7 Gallery, Athens 1987; Angathi Art Gallery, Athens 1992; Athens Art Gallery and Art Space 24, Athens 1995; Z. Athanassiadou Art Gallery, Thessaloniki 1996; Polyedro, Patras and Titanium Gallery, Athens 1997; Athens Art Gallery 2001; Paratiritis Art Gallery, Thessaloniki 2002), and has participated in over fifty group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. He has also published four poetry collections and three volumes of essays.
